Daily How Much

One medium potato packs around 161 calories when baked with skin, while raw weight and cooking change the number.

A head of lettuce typically weighs 0.7–1.7 lb (320–755 g), depending on type and size.

One large onion yields about 2 cups of diced onion, varying with size and dice.

One medium shallot, chopped, yields about 1/4 cup; small gives ~2 Tbsp and large about 1/2 cup.

One medium rib of celery gives about ½ cup chopped (≈40 g); a full bunch yields 4 to 4½ cups.

Half of three-quarters cup equals 3/8 cup, which is 6 tablespoons or 3 fluid ounces.

In food portions, a “handful” is a cupped hand—about 30–40 g for small items or roughly ½ cup by volume, though the weight changes by food.

No single number fits; vape nicotine varies by device and puffs, so rough intake ranges from under 10 to about 20 cigarettes.

One vape puff delivers about 50 μg of nicotine on average, with real-world values ranging from a few μg to a few hundred μg per puff.

A 5% JUUL pod delivers roughly a pack’s nicotine (≈20 cigarettes), though intake shifts with puff style and pod strength.
